Cycling along the Maas
The starting point of this cycle route is on the edge of the Oude Maas in Stokkem. In this area you will find several old Maas arms that were once part of the river. Visit Maascentrum De Wissen/Dilsen-Stokkem Tourism Office before you go out to find out more about this area. From Stokkem you set course for the banks of the Maas. The river here forms the border between Belgian and Dutch territory. You cycle along the edge of the water to Maasmechelen. Have you felt like stretching your legs for a while? Then take a detour and view the center of Maasmechelen.
Catering/hotel De Wissen
Then you cycle back to Stokkem past the towns of Lanklare and Dilsen. At the end of the route you can rest at Horeca/hotel De Wissen. Enjoy a cup of coffee, lunch or dinner here. It is also possible to stay overnight in the associated hotel.
Water fun on the Oude Maas
Exchange your bicycle for a boat at the Oude Maas and sail silently over the water. From April to October you can take to the water here with a whisper boat. You can also spend the night here on a camping raft along the Oude Maas. This way you can enjoy the water in this area to the fullest.

Maascentrum De Wissen/Tourism Department Dilsen-Stokkem is a unique starting point for exploring the Meuse valley.
