Description
Do you like a wet and a dry one at a time? This walking route takes you past three nice catering establishments in the green surroundings of Weert. When the weather is nice, you can sit here on the terrace, if it's a bit against you, you can curl up by the fireplace.
pie of Limburg
Start the walk with a large piece of Limburg pie, then you can go for it! A nice walk along the sand drifts and forests of the Altweerterheide brings you to Domein Laurabos BV, a golf course with a beautiful terrace in the middle of nature. Non-golfers are also very welcome here!
Beer cafe
Then you continue to the forest around the Iron Man lake. This is the gateway to the cross-border nature reserve Kempen-Broek with an enormous variety of landscapes, flora and fauna. You can learn all about it in the Environmental Education Center. Then you can enjoy a terrace at Dennenoord, on the other side of the lake. With less nice weather it is also cozy inside in this beer café.
