A lovely walk through the outskirts of Utrecht. Discover the history of the Kromme Rijnstreek - up to Roman times.
\\\'t Heaven
Today you will discover the Kromme Rijnstreek: a vast polder area where you will find a lot of heritage. For example, you pass Fort't Hemeltje from 1881. Very special, tucked away in a corner outside the city.
New Wolves
Further on you walk through the forest Nieuw Wulven, with a Speelbos. Here children are allowed to go off the paths and drag branches, build huts and play around the water. An art project has also been realized in the forest. The mask at the entrance on the Binnenweg is particularly striking and special. The discovery of a mask that the Romans used in the theater was the source of inspiration for this design. The history here goes back further than you think!
