Cycling in the sparsely populated Zeeuws-Vlaanderen polder is wonderfully peaceful. You have wide views here, from afar you can already see the church towers of a village appear on the horizon. Hop van Hulst across the border!

Saint Willibrord Basilica
You soon find yourself within the old fortress walls of Hulst. There is much to see in this beautiful old town, such as the fifteenth-century Basilica of Saint Willibrord - one of the most beautiful churches in the Netherlands. On the Grote Markt you will see several centuries-old buildings, such as the beautiful Gothic town hall from 1534. You will also pass the Stadsmolen, a corn mill from 1792.

Gray Creek
There is also a special church in Graauw, although it is mainly the clock that makes it so special. The bell of the church of the drowned village of Namur hangs in the tower. This was made in Amsterdam in 1664 by brothers François and Pierre Hémony - the most famous clock builders of the Golden Age. Further on you drive a bit along the Graauwse Kreek, a bird-rich nature reserve. How quiet it is here!

Het Stropersbos

The Stropersbos is a valuable nature reserve of about 500 ha. De Linie runs through the area, which during the War of Heritage (1703) formed an important defense wall against our northern neighbors. Thanks to good forest management, it is a unique area of heather-poor grasslands, valuable alder bog forests and striking heiveld.
