Description
Simpelveld is beautifully situated at the foot of the hills: this is the gateway to the slopes of the south. You can also go for a nice walk around Simpelveld, for example, discover the special Estate Goedenraad.
Estate Goedenraad
It slopes nicely here: Bosschenhuizen is at an altitude of 178 meters, Trintelen at 202 meters and in Bulkemsbroek you drop to 138 meters. You make a tour around Estate Goedenraad: a castle with a farm and garden and a beautiful beech forest on a slope.
Bulk ems pants
There are also properties near the hamlet of Trintelen, the total area is about 50 hectares. Upstream you walk at Simpelveld along the Bulkemsbroek, where water from the higher hills rises to the surface in an alder marsh forest. In the swamp you see cattails and yellow irises. The moist grassland is sheltered and sunny: ideal for butterflies.
