Description
Between Zelhem and Ruurlo it is beautiful to cycle through a landscape of meadows, streams and forests. You will find plenty of peace and quiet here, ideal if you want to recharge the proverbial battery. You make a shortcut through Zelhem, just before junction 72 you pass Landgoed De Berken. A little further on you will pass a golf course that was built on the Zelle Estate. You cycle through the woods to Ruurlo Castle, an originally medieval moated castle. You can visit this castle as it houses a museum dedicated to modern realism. Then you cycle through the heart of Ruurlo. Cycling along the Muldersweg you cross the Baakse Beek. This watercourse originates in the Korenburgerveen and ultimately flows into the IJssel. The route ends at the Heeren van Wolfersveen.
