Along Ruurlo Castle in the beautiful Achterhoek

Between Zelhem and Ruurlo it is beautiful cycling through a landscape of meadows, streams and forests. You will find plenty of peace and quiet here, ideal if you want to recharge the proverbial battery. You make a shortcut through Zelhem, just before junction 72 you come across Landgoed De Berken. A little further on you pass a golf course that was built on Landgoed Zelle. You cycle through the forests to Kasteel Ruurlo, a moated castle of medieval origin. You can visit this castle, because it houses a museum that is dedicated to modern realism. Then you cycle through the heart of Ruurlo. Cycling over the Muldersweg you cross the Baakse Beek. This watercourse rises in the Korenburgerveen and eventually flows into the IJssel. The route ends at the Heeren van Wolfersveen.
