Description
In Helmond you will find numerous works of art wherever you look. In parks, on squares and just on the street, you find them everywhere. Some statues have been there for years, while other works of art have only recently been installed. This walking route, which takes about one to one and a half hours, takes you past a special and varied collection of works of art. In total you will find around 65 images and 5 open galleries in the center of Helmond, which leave an indelible impression. During the walk you will pass numerous terraces where you can have a bite to eat or a drink.
Walking through the center
The market in Helmond is the starting point of this route. Here you will find the sculpture Elips by Jan Verschoor. View this statue from different sides and experience how the shape of the statue looks different from every angle. From here you take a detour past various statues with scenes from everyday life. Then you head to the Lambertushof behind the Lambertus Church. You will find various studios around this intimate courtyard and changing sculpture exhibitions are held on the square throughout the year.
Open Gallery Kamstraat
A little further on you will find the Open Galerie Kamstraat. Here life in Helmond is depicted through photos. The exhibitions here change regularly. You then walk further through the garden of Helmond Castle and the center of Helmond, eventually arriving back at the market.

While walking you will pass several cozy places to sit down for a snack and a drink. So feel free to take a break along the way. It is also worth taking the time to admire Helmond Castle. This is the largest moated castle in the Netherlands. This castle was built in the 14th century.
