Egmond Castle
The Damlandermolen is a beautiful polder mill dating back to 1700. In the polder, it's a lovely cycle ride through a series of meadows, ditches, and waterways. Further on, you'll pass the idyllic surroundings of Egmond Castle, a great spot for a few photos. The Varnebroeker is a polder mill dating back to 1860.
Picturesque Alkmaar
Alkmaar is famous for its cheese, but you can also experience a unique historical atmosphere while cycling along the canals. The old city center boasts no fewer than 399 national monuments – wow! For example, you'll see the Molen van Piet, a grain mill dating back to 1769. You'll also pass the 15th-century Grote Kerk (Great Church). The Waag (Weigh House) was completed in 1603. The square near this building hosts the famous cheese market in the summer.
