Located in the far northeast of the province of Belgian Limburg, this pearl is located on the Meuse. This unique location makes Kinrooi the place to be to relax and enjoy all the facets that the municipality has to offer.
Get on your steel steed and follow the junctions, which will lead you past the most beautiful places around the Maas, both in Belgium and the Netherlands. The bicycle ferry at junction 22 will take you across the Maas with dry feet. Enjoy the arable fields, the picturesque historic villages and of course those large water ponds, the result of gravel extraction. A unique experience is provided at no fewer than eight places along the way. Six wooden constructions serve as a 'hotspot' for a selfie or digital postcard and two binoculars let you experience the region with a virtual reality experience. The old meets the new, an absolute must.

Kinrooi is literally and figuratively the top of the Maasland. Geographically, we are the most northeastern municipality of Belgian Limburg and therefore the pinnacle of the Meuse valley. Marina De Spaanjerd is the largest inland marina in Europe. With room for almost 1000 boats, from small sailing boats to the real big boys, this marina is a real family port. Get off the bike, sit next to the water and enjoy the beautiful views. The boats float on the water, cyclists enjoy a wonderful view on the dike and locals and guests enjoy a cup of coffee, a local beer or a tasty dish on the many terraces.
