Bergen aan Zee is the ideal environment for an invigorating walk. You walk along the sea and through the dunes. And of course you can enjoy a nice terrace there. The route starts in the Schoorlse Duinen. Walking along the Verspyckweg you will pass a number of monumental buildings. Such as the Zeehuis, a former recovery home for children that originally dates from 1908. In Bergen aan Zee you cross the dunes to the beach. Get some fresh air in the fresh sea air while walking along the surf. When the weather is nice you can take off your shoes and take a dip. A gently sloping dune landscape awaits you in the North Holland Dune Reserve. Further on you can sit on the cozy terrace of De Duinerij, before walking back to the parking lot through the woods of the Schoorlse Duinen.

De Duinerij is a restaurant at the top of the beach in Bergen aan Zee. It is an accessible, cozy meeting place where everyone feels at home. A wonderful place after a walking and cycling trip through the Schoorlse Duinen and surroundings. The restaurant has a large bar, a bright conservatory with a view of the dunes and a spacious terrace. The extensive menu includes pizzas, pancakes, meat and fish dishes. There is also an extensive range of Mexican dishes. All this for a very attractive price. There is also an extensive children's menu for children. The dog is also very welcome.
