Description
Put on your walking shoes to discover the charm of the villages of Oudkarspel and Noord- and Zuid-Scharwoude. You will pass some sights and through the Diepsmeer Park.
Courthouse Oudkarspel
You will soon enter Oudkarspel. Here you will pass, among other things, the Rechthuis Oudkarspel, a museum that is located in the former town hall from 1744. Further on is the beautiful Allemanskerk, the oldest parts date from the eleventh century.
Diepsmeerpark
The Diepsmeer Park opened in 2011. This green buffer is made up of many islands, it is a nice walking area. North and South Scharwoude once formed one village. The founding of a second church in the twelfth century caused a separation into a northern and southern part. In Noord-Scharwoude you pass the Sint-Jan-de-Doperkerk from 1906. In Zuid-Scharwoude you pass the Reformed Church with its white plastered nave.
