This varied walk takes you through the Loosdrechtse Plassen. You also walk through the adjacent Loosdrechtse Bos.

Loosdrecht Forest
The route starts at the edge of the Loosdrechtse Bos. A good start to your route, because while you walk between the deciduous and coniferous trees, you soon leave the daily worries behind you. Further on you walk onto the Kromme Rade: the former border between the regions of Holland and Utrecht. It is wonderfully quiet here amidst the legakkers, reed fields, trees and ditches. This way you can optimally enjoy the Loosdrechtse Plassen!

Hoornboeg Heath
Oud-Loosdrecht still exudes the atmosphere of times gone by. On the dike you can see many eighteenth and nineteenth century houses and farms. Ideal for exploring on foot. You also walk a bit over the gently sloping Hoornboegse Heide with its ancient burial mounds. What a variety!
