Moergestel is a beautiful village near Tilburg. Ideal for exploring on foot. In the countryside you can walk through the woods.
The Reusel
From the starting point you can walk straight into the Reusel stream valley. From the path you have a beautiful view over the fields and the village. In the old village center you will see some beautiful monumental buildings. You will also pass the Sint Janskerk, whose tower dates from 1500. The ship dates from 1931.
Old Hondsberg
West of Moergestel you walk into the forests of Ter Braakloop, a reclamation estate where the drifting sand has been tamed by planting conifers. It is peaceful here to walk between fresh-smelling trees. In the adjacent nature reserve Oude Hondsberg you walk through avenues with old American oaks. You can also walk a bit along the banks of the Reusel, which meanders wonderfully here. What a beautiful area!
