Moergestel is a beautiful village near Tilburg. Ideal to explore on foot. In the countryside you walk through the woods.
The Reusel
From the starting point you walk straight into the valley of the Reusel. From the path you have a beautiful view over the fields and the village. In the old village center you see some beautiful monumental buildings. You also pass the Sint Janskerk, whose tower dates back to 1500. The nave dates from 1931.
Old Hondsberg
West of Moergestel you walk into the forests of Ter Braakloop, a reclaimed estate where the drifting sand has been tamed by planting conifers. It is peaceful walking here between fresh-smelling trees. In the adjacent nature reserve Oude Hondsberg you walk through lanes with old American oaks. You also walk a bit along the banks of the Reusel that meanders wonderfully here. What a beautiful area!
