Walking through Oirschot and De Mortelen

It is a wonderfully quiet walk here, ideal for a chat. From junction 10 you walk a bit into De Mortelen, a small-scale bocage landscape of poplar groves, coniferous forests and grass and arable land. The landscape is reminiscent of the rural countryside of Brabant before the land consolidations. It is not without reason that Oirschot enjoys a protected village view. You see many beautiful buildings. Such as the sixteenth-century St. Peter's Basilica. Close to this church is Museum de Vier Quartieren, a museum with a fascinating story about life in Brabant in the past. Further on is St. Mary's Church, a small building from the twelfth century. At the end of the route you will see the Korenaar again, a flour mill from 1857.
