Enjoy a nice walk through the white town of Thorn and the surrounding area with this route. Along the way you will become acquainted with the charm of Thorn and you can also admire the chapels that you find in various places around the town.
From one chapel to another
The starting point of this walk is at the Chapel under the Linden, a little outside the town of Thorn. This Chapel of Our Lady was built in 1673 on behalf of Countess Clara-Elisabeth. This chapel was expanded in 1811 and again towards the end of the 19th century. You then continue walking through the wider area of Thorn past many more chapels such as the Saint Anthony Chapel, the Holy Family Chapel and the Chapel of Our Lady of Rest. These small prayer houses are often located at the edge of fields, but sometimes they are also located in villages. Every year a procession is held to Chapel under the Linden and all chapels in the area provide resting places for all believers who participate in this ceremony.

You can also walk through Thorn. This town was founded as an abbey at the end of the 10th century.
