Description
From one chapel to another
The starting point of this walk is at the Chapel under the Linden, a little outside the town of Thorn. This Chapel of Our Lady was built in 1673 by order of Countess Clara-Elisabeth. In 1811 and again towards the end of the 19th century, this chapel was expanded. Then you walk further through the wide area around Thorn along many more chapels such as the Saint Anthony Chapel, the Holy Family Chapel and the Chapel of Our Lady of Rest. These small prayer houses are often located on the edge of fields, but sometimes they are also located in villages. Every year a procession is held to the Chapel under the Linden and all the chapels in the area form resting places for all the faithful who participate in this ceremony.

You will also walk through Thorn. This town was founded as an abbey at the end of the 10th century.
