Walking through the Botshol and Baambrugge

Put on your walking shoes for an unforgettable beautiful day. The Botshol consists of an abandoned peat area with large ponds, ditches, reed land and swamp forest. You can also spot many birds and orchids there. It is wonderfully quiet there. Fort de Botshol was never completed: you only see a rise in the landscape, bunkers were never built. You have beautiful views over the dikes along the Oude Waver, Waver and the Holendrecht. You also regularly pass a beautiful old farm. On the horizon you can see Baambrugge appear. This village has a wonderful historical atmosphere thanks to the many monumental buildings.
