A tour along Rhenen, Wageningen and Kesteren

Between Rhenen, Wageningen and Kesteren you cycle through a landscape of orchards, rough floodplains and vast grasslands. An ideal route to relax for a while.

Hemmen Castle Garden

Along the road you will see the many orchards for which this region is so famous. It provides beautiful pictures, especially when the trees are in bloom. Further on you can visit the Kasteeltuin Hemmen. This classicistically furnished and walled garden dates from 1832. The accompanying country house was destroyed in a bombardment in 1945.

Grebbeberg
You cross the Nederrijn by ferry. From the Grebbedijk just below Wageningen you have a beautiful view of the floodplains. In the polder it is nice and quiet cycling on car-free, tree-lined roads. In the distance you can see the wooded Grebbeberg. You cross the Nederrijn by bridge. You have a beautiful view, in the distance you can see, among other things, the 80-meter-high tower of the Cunerakerk in Rhenen.
