Dommel
The route starts at De Helden van Kien, a cozy catering pavilion in the beautiful park De Kienehoef. Enjoy something tasty here, before you walk to the old heart of Sint-Oedenrode. The village center is wedged between the Dommel, the river that you cross several times. At the Markt you see several monumental mansions. What a nice atmosphere!
Giant Clump
In the Dommelplantsoen you will find the Reuzenklomp, a reminder of Sint-Oedenrode's past as the centre of the clog industry. The Reuzenklomp was once made of wood, but due to vandalism it was replaced by a concrete one. In the countryside you can walk along leafy paths between the fields and fields. A nice quiet walk! At De Helden van Kien it is time for a drink and a bite to eat!
