City and countryside: Doetinchem and the Varsseveld cups

Once on the road, you will soon discover the Varsseveldse kopjes: fields were laid out on the high peaks of the sand ridges around Varsseveld, which only grew taller due to centuries of manure from stalls. Now, you will find a small-scale mosaic of high fields, forests, and orchards. Further along, you will pass through Terborg, a picturesque town on the Oude IJssel. Following the course of this river, you drive to Doetinchem, another charming town in the Achterhoek. Back at your starting point, you can enjoy a tasty bite to eat, hopefully on a terrace overlooking the village square.
