From Hillegom you can make a nice hike to Lisse. Then you walk through the Lageveense Polder and you can visit the Keukenhof.

At Hotel Villa Flora you can enjoy a coffee with something sweet before you set off. You will pass the Hof van Hillegom, among others. Originally a fifteenth-century country estate, the building now serves as a town hall. You can also see some special buildings in Lisse, such as the St. Agatha Church from 1903 with a beautiful adjoining presbytery. In the Lageveense Polder you walk through a landscape of coppice forest and moist, flowery grasslands. You pass the Lageveensemolen, a polder mill from 1890.

Keukenhof Castle
As a flower lover, you can never get enough of the Keukenhof. But actually the Keukenhof is an experience for everyone. You will be impressed by all those scents and colors. You can also visit the seventeenth-century Keukenhof Castle. Furniture from all kinds of years and style periods can be viewed in the salons, so that you get a good idea of how the nobility used to live. You walk back through the countryside to Hotel Villa Flora.
