From Hillegom you can take a nice walk to Lisse. Then you walk through the Lageveense Polder and you can visit the Keukenhof.
Court of Hillegom
At Hotel Villa Flora you can enjoy a coffee and something tasty before you set off. You will pass, among others, the Hof van Hillegom. Originally a fifteenth-century country estate, the building now serves as the town hall. You will also see some special buildings in Lisse, such as the St. Agatha Church from 1903 with a beautiful adjacent parsonage. In the Lageveense Polder you walk through a landscape of coppice forest and moist, flowery grasslands. You pass the Lageveensemolen, a polder mill from 1890.
Keukenhof Castle
As a flower lover, you can never get enough of the Keukenhof. But actually the Keukenhof is an experience for everyone. You will automatically be impressed by all those scents and colors. You can also visit the seventeenth-century Keukenhof Castle. In the salons you can see furniture from all kinds of years and style periods, so you get a nice idea of how the nobility used to live. You walk back through the countryside to Hotel Villa Flora.
