Enjoying the National Landscape of Northeast Twente

From the village of Weerselo you take a cycle tour through the Northeast Twente National Landscape. This will be a day of enjoying the nature that this region has to offer. Here you drive on car-free roads through a lovely landscape with high fields, streams, hedgerows and avenues lined with deciduous trees. Every now and then you pass a hall farm and chapel. There are only small towns on your route, such as Saasveld and Hertme. In Bornerbroek it is time for a pit stop. At Bistro Le Primeur you can enjoy a tasty meal at your leisure before heading back into the countryside. Finally, you will pass Het Stift: a monastery where unmarried noble ladies were provided with a good education from the fourteenth century. Here you can visit the centuries-old Stiftskerk, among other things.
