Meandering between Hengelo and Delden

Your route starts at Park Camping Mooi Delden. First, you'll cycle through Tuindorp 't Lansink, a beautiful old neighborhood. You'll discover even more history in the charming old heart of Hengelo. The city became famous thanks to its textile industry in the 19th century. The Market Square and the old St. Lambertus Basilica are well worth a visit. You'll also pass Hof Espelo, a beautiful estate with a visitor center. Then you'll cycle to Boekelo, with the Boekelo MBS and Zoutindustrie MBS stations. The Museum Buurtspoorweg (Local Railway Museum) runs old steam and diesel trains and locomotives on old narrow-gauge tracks through the modern landscape. Around Beckum, you'll find many nature reserves - the Bentelerheide is owned by the Twickel Foundation, known for its estate just north of Delden. Along the way, stop off at Spoolder Proeven & Toosten (Proof & Toast)!
