Meandering between Hengelo and Delden

Your route starts at Park Camping Mooi Delden. First you cycle through Tuindorp't Lansink, a beautiful old district. You will discover even more history in the beautiful old heart of Hengelo. The city became famous thanks to the textile industry in the nineteenth century. The Market Square and the old Sint-Lambertus Basilica are worth a visit. You will also pass Hof Espelo, a beautiful estate with a visitor center. Then you cycle to Boekelo, with the stations Boekelo MBS and Zoutindustrie MBS. The Museum Buurtspoorweg runs old steam and diesel trains and locomotives on old narrow-gauge tracks through the modern landscape. Around Beckum you will find many nature reserves - the Bentelerheide is owned by the Twickel Foundation, known for the estate just above Delden. Stop along the way at Spoolder Proeven & Proosten!
