Winding between Hengelo and Delden

Your route starts at Park Camping Mooi Delden. First you cycle through Tuindorp't Lansink, a beautiful old district that enjoys a protected status. Then you will discover the beautiful old heart of Hengelo. Hengelo emerged thanks to the textile industry in the nineteenth century. The Market Square and the old St. Lambertus Basilica are worth a visit. You will also pass Hof Espelo where there is a visitor center on a beautiful estate. Then you cycle to Boekelo, where you can take a ride at the Boekelo MBS or Zoutindustrie MBS stations. The Museum Buurtspoorweg runs old steam and diesel trains and locomotives on old narrow gauge tracks through the modern landscape. You will find many nature reserves around Beckum - the Bentelerheide is owned by the Twickel Foundation, known for the estate just above Delden.
