Ravenstein is ideal for a beautiful walk. You can enjoy a stroll through the historic city center. In the outlying area you walk through the polders and the floodplains along the Maas.
Saint Lucia Church
Here you can see the St. Lucia Church from 1735, it was built with the proceeds of a lottery. In the Sint-Luciastraat are many old monumental buildings, it seems as if you are walking back in time. The Town Hall is an eighteenth-century patrician residence, the Kasteelsepoort is the only remnant of the medieval Ravenstein Castle, which was demolished in 1818.
In the floodplains along the Maas it is wonderfully quiet walking on the footpath. Here you can fully enjoy the untouched nature along the river. At the bottom of the Maasdijk you can see some characteristic old farms. In Neerlangel you pass the St. John the Baptist Church, the tuff wall of the tower dates from the original eleventh-century church building. From the Stationssingel you look out over the canal that was once part of the demolished city fortress.
