With this route you take a trip that allows you to experience the 'other Brabant': that of the vast polders and water-rich nature reserves. But first you drive through the heart of Oudenbosch. Here you will pass, among other things, the Basilica of Saints Agatha and Barbara. This building dates from 1880, it is a modest copy of St. Peter's Basilica in Vatican City. At junction 31 the Mark river changes into the Dintel, which flows further west and flows into the Volkerak. Further on you will pass the Zwartenbergse Molen, a beautiful polder mill that was built in 1889. Then you drive along the tree-lined Haagse Dijk past alder forests, swamps and meadows. At Brasserie Boschdal you will take a break with a delicious lunch, after which you will drive back to the starting point via Leur en Hoeven.

The Zwartenbergse Molen is the only mill in North Brabant that still has a real grinding function. Yet windmills were not only used to produce grain from cereals, but also to reclaim polder areas. The mill can move a maximum of 80 cubic meters of water per minute.
