You will soon walk along the lakes for which the region is known. The isolated lake Sint-Anna's Beemd is very special. It was created from a gravel quarry, which is why the banks are steep. Kingfishers catch fish from the willow forest and more than 200 plant species have been counted. The forests and heathlands of the Beegder Heide show the region from a completely different side.
