Timmereind [west of Waalre]

The route starts at Restaurant/Camping De Volmolen. Excellent starting point, also a nice place to begin. Alternative starting points are"Partycentrum't Witven\\\" [Runstraat, at Junction 8] and Fish Pond"Kempische Plassen\\\" {Onze Lieve Vrouwedijk, Junction 80].

ENVIRONMENT:

This is the most beautiful walk I have done so far. You walk a short distance across the campsite (really!) and then you enter a part of the Dommeldal. This part consists of narrow, winding and overgrown paths, so I had to pay close attention to where I was walking in my shorts. Definitely not for fast walkers, but what a beautiful (and quiet) area this is! Then follows a long stretch along meadows with varied views, until you suddenly see the Maxima Medical Center. A short stretch along the highway and then a short stretch along a main road, but then follows a sandy path again and you enter a part of the Dommeldal again.

I took more pictures here than ever (see under Pictures, of course) and consider this my favorite walk so far. Highly recommended and if you find the walk too long you can easily shorten it at the Volmolen crossing.
