Timmereind [west of Waalre]

The route starts at Restaurant/Camping De Volmolen. Great starting point, nice place to start too. Alternative starting points are"Partycentrum't Witven\\\" [Runstraat, at junction 8] and Visvijver"Kempische Plassen\\\" { Onze Lieve Vrouwedijk, junction 80].

ENVIRONMENT:

This is the most beautiful hike I've done so far. You walk a short distance across the campsite (really!) and then you arrive in a part of Dommeldal. This part consists of narrow, winding and overgrown paths, so I had to watch where I walked in my shorts. Certainly not for fast walkers, but what a beautiful (and quiet) environment this is! This is followed by a long stretch along meadows with varied views, until you suddenly see the Maxima Medical Center. So a short stretch along the highway and then a stretch along a main road, but then another dirt road follows and you come again in a part of Dommeldal. 

I've taken more photos here than ever before (see under Photos, of course) and consider this my favorite hike to date. Highly recommended and if you find the walk too long you can easily shorten it at the crossing of the Volmolen.
