A fen and a castle, a beautiful village and a meandering stream. There is so much to discover on the edge of De Meinweg National Park . This beautiful nature reserve is located near Roermond on the German border and consists of heaths, forests and more natural beauty.
Meinweg National Park
The route starts near the German border, in the Meinweg National Park. This somewhat un-Dutch nature reserve is known for its unique terraced landscape. These terraces were created over tens of thousands of years by scouring of the Meuse and fault lines in the earth's crust. You cycle here through dense old forests and stream valleys, but there are also beautiful fens. Such as the Melickerven, which you cycle past. A beautifully varied area!
