Views of the Strabrechtse Heide

Your route starts at Boutique Hotel Four. This route takes you through the seemingly endless forests and heathlands around Someren. First you drive through the rectangular forest plots and newly constructed heathlands of the Somerense Heide. The silence in this area is refreshing. In the middle of the Strabrechtse Heide you will experience how large parts of North Brabant used to be. You have beautiful views there. You may come across the large herd of Kempen sheep that still graze the heath. In the Herbertusbossen you will pass Heeze Castle, which you can visit at regular intervals via a guided tour. In the forest of De Pan you will pass a monument in memory of the crew of an English bomber that crashed in 1943.
