Tour of Driebruggen, Zwammerdam and Woerden

From Café Custwijc you make a beautiful trip through the vast surroundings of Woerden. First you explore the Reeuwijkse Plassen. From the saddle you have beautiful views over the rippling water. Further on you cycle through a landscape of elongated meadows, ditches and willows. You regularly pass a characteristic old farm. From the Meijepad you have a beautiful view over the Zuideinderplas which is part of the Nieuwkoopse Plassen. Along the river De Meije you see the almost sixty meter high white water tower from 1932. You pass Zegveld, a village that was only opened up in the sixties by the construction of roads. Further on you come through the historical heart of Woerden. Through the polder you cycle back to Driebruggen.
