Tour of Driebruggen, Zwammerdam and Woerden

From Café Custwijc you can make a nice trip through the wide surroundings of Woerden. First you explore the Reeuwijkse Plassen. From the saddle you have beautiful views over the rippling water. Further on you cycle through a landscape of elongated meadows, ditches and willows. You regularly pass a characteristic old farmhouse. From the Meijepad you have a beautiful view over the Zuideinderplas, which is part of the Nieuwkoopse Plassen. Along the river De Meije you can see the almost sixty meter high white water tower from 1932. You pass through Zegveld, a village that was only opened up through the construction of roads in the 1960s. Further on you will pass through the historic heart of Woerden. You drive back through the polder to Driebruggen.
