Get a breath of fresh air along the Lower Rhine

You can cycle for miles along the dikes along the Lower Rhine between Renkum and Elst. It will be nice to get a breath of fresh air and enjoy the views, nature and the many sights.

Randwijk brickworks

 On the Lower Rhine you will pass Steenbakkerij Randwijk GSS. Here you will find the Gelders Narrow Gauge Museum and a monumental brickworks where bricks can still be baked in the old-fashioned way with a coal-fired ring kiln. You cross the Lower Rhine on a ferry, after which you drive for many kilometers along the flower-rich meadows.

Grebbe line
From a distance you can already see the Grebbeberg looming. Before you climb into the woods here, you pass the Grebbesluis and the associated eighteenth-century earthen defenses that belong to the Grebbe Line. On the edge of Rhenen you will see the tower of the old Cunera Church, a little later you will cycle into the woods near Elst. You can cross the river again on a ferry and enjoy the beautiful views again.
