Blow out along the Lower Rhine

Along the Neder-Rijn between Renkum and Elst you can cycle for miles along the dikes. That will be a great way to blow away the cobwebs and enjoy the views, nature and the many sights.

Brickworks Randwijk

 On the Neder-Rijn you will pass Steenbakkerij Randwijk GSS. Here you will find the Gelders Smalspoormuseum and a monumental brickworks where bricks can still be baked in the old-fashioned way with a coal-fired ring oven. You will cross the Neder-Rijn by ferry, after which you will drive for many kilometres along the flowery floodplains.

Grebbe Line
From a distance you can see the Grebbeberg looming. Before you climb into the woods here, you pass the Grebbe lock and the associated eighteenth-century earthen fortifications that are part of the Grebbe line. On the edge of Rhenen you see the tower of the old Cunera church, a little later you cycle into the woods near Elst. With a ferry you cross the river again and enjoy the beautiful views once again.
