Tour of Geldrop and the Strabrechtse Heide

Your route starts at Boutique Hotel Four. After you have cycled through the woods for a while, you suddenly cycle onto the Strabrechtse Heide: a beautiful transition! You may come across the large herd of Kempen sheep that still graze the heath. You pass a path that leads you to the bird watching hut at the Beuven, the largest fen in the country. A little further on you drive past Someren-Heide, a reclamation village that once lay on the border between Staats-Brabant and the Spanish Upper Gelre. Here you can also admire an old border marker: the so-called Keijepoal, on the Kerkendijk.
