This walk takes you through the Gelderse Vallei just outside Putten. A wonderfully quiet region where you can enjoy the tranquility, Landgoed De Vanenburg and the Mariahoeve museum.

The Vanenburg
The route starts at Pluktuin Het Platteland. Enjoy a coffee with something delicious here in the Pluktuin. And pick some fruit for a picnic on the way! You will soon pass De Vanenburg, a seventeenth-century estate with a beautiful country house from 1870. You will also see some beautiful outbuildings and a drawbridge. At the Stationsstraat in Putten you can see a monumental old farm and sheepfold with thatched roof.

Museum Mariahoeve
Further on you walk through a small-scale forest area. It is wonderfully quiet walking here. Ideal for charging the battery. In the Gelderse Vallei you pass the Mariahoeve. It is one of the few farms built around 1900 in this region. A museum has been set up in the farm, led by a guide you can take a leap back to 1900 thanks to the stories and old-fashioned items!

Pluktuin Het Platteland is a nice stopover in the outskirts of Putten. Surrounded by windbreaks and meadows, you can relax in the Pluktuin. Enjoy the peace, the simple, a cup of coffee or tea and something delicious. And then... harvest flowers and fruit! You will find (depending on the time of year) apples and pears, but also small fruit such as various types of berries, raspberries and blackberries. Good for on the go! In the Pluktuin you will find brocante and fun stuff in various places. The atmosphere is therefore nostalgic. Closed on Sundays, so no parking.

Kasteel De Vanenburg is a country estate from the 17th century. Today the estate is used, among other things, as a conference center. The Vanenburg estate probably dates from the 14th century.

Just before junction 35 you will find Museumboerderij Mariahoeve, a typical example of the small farms that were built by dozens a hundred years ago. At the Mariahoeve you can take the Norderklompenpad.
