The Dommeldal, forests and vast farmlands: you will find it all around the picturesque Sint-Oedenrode. In the village itself you can admire two old castles.

Henkenshage Castle
Dommelrode Castle, this sixteenth-century castle now serves as a town hall. Further on you pass Henkenshage Castle, which has its origins in the Middle Ages. The current building dates from 1875. There are several beautiful old oak trees in the freely accessible castle garden. A nice start to your route!

Button tower
It is wonderful to travel miles in rural Brabant. You drive on quiet leafy roads that wind through the landscape just like the Dommel. Every now and then you see a beautiful old farm or chapel. In the hamlet of Kasteren you pass the former station of the Indische Lijntje, the former railway line between Boxtel and Wesel in Germany. Back in Sint-Oedenrode you will pass the striking medieval Knoptoren.
