The Dommeldal, forests and extensive farmlands: you will find it all around the picturesque Sint-Oedenrode. In the village itself you can admire two old castles.
Dommelrode Castle, this sixteenth-century castle now serves as a town hall. Further on you pass Henkenshage Castle, which has its origins in the Middle Ages. The current building dates from 1875. In the freely accessible castle garden are some beautiful old oaks. A nice start to your route!
In rural Brabant it is wonderful to drive for miles. You drive on quiet, leafy roads that, like the Dommel, meander through the landscape. Every now and then you see a beautiful old farm or chapel. In the hamlet of Kasteren you pass the former station of the German Lijntje, the former railway line between Boxtel and the German Wesel. Back in Sint-Oedenrode you will pass the striking medieval Button Tower.
Below you will find various suggestions for breaks that you can visit during your route. These are divided into different categories, making it easy for you to choose.
