You can enjoy cycling just outside Boxtel. First you drive into the woods on the edge of De Kampina. It is also wonderful to cycle among the coniferous trees in the adjacent Oisterwijkse Vennen. You will pass a number of the fens for which this nature reserve is known. Step off to enjoy the silence around these waters and drink a cup of coffee on the terrace of Boshuys Hermitage. Further on you cycle through the Mortelen, a small-scale landscape of poplar groves, coniferous forests and grasslands and arable lands. Here you seem to cycle back in time to the old-fashioned Brabant rural nature before the land consolidation. In Liempde, time seems to have stood still in the Dorpsstraat. You cycle back to the starting point along the Dommel.

Boshuys Hermitage is an attractive restaurant, beautifully situated in the Oisterwijk forests. Boshuys Hermitage gives every visitor the opportunity to feel welcome and relax from 10 a.m. (closed on Tuesdays). Here you will find as many organic and responsible products as possible. After a lovely walk in the woods in winter, it's nice to relax by the fireplace. The terrace offers a view of a beautiful pond where our ducks and goose glide past. Also a nice base for a bike ride along the Oisterwijk forests and fens and the connecting Kampina.
