Description
This route takes you through the countryside just below Schijndel. Put on your walking shoes and discover the coulisse landscape on the Rooise- and Schijndelse Heide.
German Line
Here you walk through a coulisse landscape of small-scale forests and fields and meadows. Regularly you walk on unpaved roads where you can enjoy the beautiful surroundings without a care in the world. At junction 15 you cross the German Line, the former railway line between Boxtel and the German Wesel.
Schijndel Heath
The largest part of your walk you will walk on the Rooise- and Schijndelse Heide, a former heathland. You can recognize the history of reclamation by the straight roads and plots. It is wonderfully quiet walking here. Ideal to recharge the proverbial battery and chat with your fellow walkers. At junction 41 you will pass a monumental Kempen long-façade farm from the nineteenth century. What a beautiful region!
