Description
From the heart of Gouda you can make a beautiful bike ride along the Reeuwijkse Plassen and through the Krimpenerwaard. That will be enjoying the abundant nature and culture.
Lakes of Reeuwijk
Here you see beautiful wooden quays and reed collars. In the rectangular shape of the ponds you can see how the former peat lands were parceled out at the time. The peat was used by potteries and brewers in Gouda, among others. How wonderfully peaceful it is to cycle here!
Old Gouda
The Krimpenerwaard is also a place to enjoy. In the landscape crisscrossed by ditches you have beautiful views. And you see beautiful sights, such as in the picturesque Haastrecht where you pass the Town Hall from 1618!
