From the heart of Gouda you can take a beautiful bike ride along the Reeuwijkse Plassen and through the Krimpenerwaard. This means enjoying the abundance of nature and culture.
Reeuwijkse Plassen
Here you will see beautiful wooden quays and reed collars. In the rectangular shape of the lakes you can see how the former peatlands were parceled out at the time. The peat was used, among others, by potteries and beer brewers in Gouda. What a wonderfully peaceful cycling experience here!
Old Gouda
There is also enjoyment in the Krimpenerwaard. In the landscape veined by ditches you have beautiful views. And you will see beautiful sights, such as in picturesque Haastrecht where you pass the Town Hall from 1618! There is also a lot of cultural history to be found in Gouda, the old center has a high percentage of characteristic monumental buildings. Such as the beautiful fifteenth-century town house.
