There are few towns as beautiful as Veere. Discover the nicest places with this route through the heart of the town. You also pass through the wonderfully quiet green countryside.

Veere is one of the most picturesque fortified towns in the Netherlands, but the surrounding area is also worth a visit. Here you walk through the quiet polders of the Walcheren Canal to the Veerse Kreek and the Vest van Veere. The creek with its many offshoots was created at the end of the Second World War during the inundation of Walcheren. Nowadays it is a quiet and beautiful nature reserve where you can enjoy walking.
The Four Scissors
In Veere, drop by the town hall with its beautiful facade from the fifteenth century: it houses the De Vierschaar Town Hall Museum. The carillon in the tower has been voted one of the most beautiful in the Netherlands. All those historic buildings quickly tempt you to slow down your pace.
