Description
From Weesp you make many beautiful kilometers along the water. You cycle along the meandering Vecht, the Ankeveense Plassen and the river De Gaasp.
Ankeveen Lakes
You cycle into the polder along the Utrechtse Vecht. On the dike you have beautiful views and you regularly see monumental farms. You will also pass the Fort near Uitermeer, whose history goes back to a redoubt built in 1589. At the Ankeveense Plassen you can enjoy the peace and views.
Picturesque Muiden
Nederhorst den Berg and Nigtevecht are the next two picturesque towns on your route. How many beautiful monumental buildings can be seen here! You cycle past the Diemerbos and the leafy path along the Amsterdam-Rhine Canal to Muiden, the next cultural-historical hotspot on your route. Get off to experience the historic atmosphere here as well.
