A route with a lot of variety: you cycle through vast polders, along Amsterdam quays and through fortified towns of Weesp and Muiden. This means enjoying nature and culture to the fullest.
Historical Muiden
In the countryside you will pass Meermolen/Onrust, a polder mill from 1809. Then you drive along the IJmeer to Muiden. Take a break to enjoy the historical heritage at your leisure.
Amstelkade
Cycling along the ring canal in Amsterdam is wonderful. Here too you pass monumental buildings. On the Amstelkade you can see the Berlage Bridge and the Rembrandt Tower: at 150 meters it is the highest skyscraper in Amsterdam. The route then takes you through Amsterdam South and along the leafy banks of the Gaasperplas, an artificial lake. You drive back into Weesp along the Smal Weesp canal. You will pass't Haantje, a former flour mill from 1820.
