Located on the edge of Boswachterij Dorst is Natuurpoort BOS & Co an ideal starting point for this wonderful bike ride in green surroundings. With an open drifting sand area, an art route for hikers and one of the most highly rated mountain bike trails in the Netherlands, the Boswachterij has a lot to offer. Forestry Dorst mainly consists of Scots pine forest that was planted on heathland in the early 19th century. This area was known as Seterse Heide. Striking are the many large sand drifts, which are conquered with planted pine trees. There are also beautiful fens with grazing Scottish Highlanders. There are also several clay pits, created by the activities of the former brick factory"De Vijf Eiken\\\" from Rijen. Around the loam pits you will find special vegetation such as yellow-green sedge, lying milkweed and ground star. More information: www.staatsbosbeheer.nl
