Of course you will see many of the fruit orchards for which this region is known. In this sparsely populated area, there is still an old-fashioned tranquility. Ideal for clearing your head. In Eck en Wiel you pass Huis Vredestein, a beautiful country house from the nineteenth century.

Wijenburg Castle
Further on you pass De Beijenkorf, a flour mill from 1873. From the dike you look out over the polders and the recreation area Het Eiland van Maurik. Wijenburg was once an important castle in the Duchy of Guelders. The building was saved from demolition in the early twentieth century and restored to its former glory. In IJzendoorn you can take a look at the beautiful fourteenth-century village church.
