A tour of holiday feeling in the Achterhoek

From your starting point, you'll soon enter the woods near the Hoenderkamp Estate. It's a pleasant ride among the coniferous and deciduous trees, enjoying the fresh forest air. In the countryside surrounding Hengelo in Gelderland, you'll also experience the typical tranquility that still reigns in the Achterhoek region. About halfway along, you'll see the Ons Belang windmill, dating from 1890, appear on the horizon. A little later, you'll cycle into Ruurlo, a town where you'll experience the typical, friendly atmosphere of the Achterhoek region. You'll pass several landmarks, such as the fourteenth-century village church. Just outside the village stands Ruurlo Castle, home to a second branch of Museum MORE.
