Cycling route Kootwijk, Hoenderloo and Otterlo

After a delicious lunch on the terrace of Petit Restaurant Het Smulhuis, you'll cycle to Harskamp. At the edge of this village, you'll pass the Lana Mariana, a grain mill dating from 1739 whose striking name is no longer known. A little later, you'll enter the Kootwijk Forestry. Enjoy the fresh forest air and the tranquility. Just before Kootwijk, you can look out over part of the vast drifting sand plain in this area. At junction 40, you'll pass Radio Kootwijk, built in the 1920s for radiotelegraphic contact with the then Dutch East Indies. The area surrounding the former transmitter is a protected village view. In Hoog Buurlo, you'll see several old farmhouses in a picturesque landscape. Via Jachtslot Sint-Hubertus, you'll cycle back to Otterlo.
