Walking through Maurik and surroundings

Around Maurik it is wonderful to walk through the Betuwe. You walk through the floodplains along the Rhine and through the polder with its many orchards. Ideal for charging the proverbial battery.

The Beijenkorf
You pass De Beijenkorf, a flour mill from 1873 in Maurik. From the dike you look out over the polders and fruit orchards. You will also see some old characteristic farms.

Maurikian Values
You walk through Rijswijk for a while, after which you walk back into the polder. It is wonderfully quiet here. A nice moment to catch up with family and friends. Back in Maurik you pass the beautiful Reformed Church from the seventeenth century, the tower is three centuries older. The last part of the walk you look out over the Maurikse Waarden from the dike. A little later it is time for a terrace.
