It is wonderful to cycle along the dike along the Lek. You enjoy beautiful views and the historic atmosphere that you find in the old towns along the river. The route starts in the historic city center of Vianen. You drive along the Hofpoort, among other things. You cross the Lek with a ferry, after which you drive over the dike through the flowery grasslands along the banks of the Lek. Get a breath of fresh air and enjoy the views over the water and the orchards! You will also pass Fort Everdingen, a fortress from 1847. Walk through the Voorstraat to soak up the historic atmosphere.
