Along the open-air museum near Nederweert

You cross the Zuid-Willemsvaar and in Nederweert-Eind you pass the Limburg Open Air Museum Eynderhoof, which is dedicated to life in the Peel region around 1900. Well worth a visit! Then you walk through Het Sarsven and De Banen. Here you see willow thickets, bog myrtle and dry forests. In other places you also see rough vegetation and reed beds where the marsh harrier breeds. After a stop at the ice cream parlour you walk a loop north of Nederweert, through the hamlets of Boecket and Strateris. From a distance you can see the striking fifteenth-century church tower of the Sint-Lambertus church, which is located near the end point.
