Along the open-air museum at Nederweert

You cross the Zuid-Willemsvaar and in Nederweert-Eind you pass the Limburg Open Air Museum Eynderhoof, which is dedicated to life in the Peel region around 1900. Well worth a visit! Then you walk through Het Sarsven and De Banen. You will see willow thickets, gale and dry forests here. In other places you can also see rough vegetation and reed beds in which the marsh harrier breeds. After a stopover at the ice cream parlor, you walk a loop north of Nederweert, through the hamlets of Boecket and Strateris. From afar you can already see the striking fifteenth-century church tower of the Sint-Lambertuskerk, which is located near the terminus.
